Adobe Photoshop Image Cutout

Today in my class I designed a postcard of sorts. We used photoshop for the first time and learned many things regarding the program.

This is what I made! ----------> I'm actually very pleased with how it came out. It's sleek and I love the triangles dividing the image. The font along with the outline of the font is really clean. I adjusted the color balance to make it lean a lot more towards red colors on purpose to highlight the more dangerous side of the photo and to give a sense of the rise in awareness, like when seeing a stop sign. The purple is used to add focus to the main photo but also to subdue/add a soft touch to the image to a certain degree.

There were a couple of things I would have done differently though. I would have loved to have added more triangles to display more of the main image to make it more interesting. I feel as if it's too simple, so another change I would make is the background-color. Although I love the purple my goal was to highlight the color palette of one of the main characters in the series but due to the color not working well with the purple I inputted, I decided to exclude it from the piece. I was missing a certain color and it sort of looks like the yellow is there for nothing. But regardless I had a fun time making it.
